Just ran across this from my Mom:
I was blessed when I read recently: Zacharias was going about his regular work as a priest when the angel appeared to tell him about the coming miraculous birth of John the Baptist! The shepherds were going about their regular work when suddenly the angel came announcing the birth of Christ!
Jesus rarely comes where we expect Him. Be ready for His surprise visits!
And there is a man who paints the inside of the Mackinac Bridge in N. Michigan. His unnoticed job is done to ensure that the steel won't rust, compromising the integrity of the bridge. Most of the 12,000 people who cross that bridge each day aren't even aware that they are depending on workers like this painter to faithfully do their jobs well.
God sees our faithfulness in the things we do--big or small, or unnoticed by others. So do "all in the name of the Lord Jesus" Col. 3:17, because work takes on eternal value when it is done for God!
Have a great day working!
