Thursdays Pastor Charles shares for about 20 minutes with the High Schoolers in assembly. Yesterday's message was on baptism. At the end he called those who wanted to be baptized to stand and come forward - and about 8 did so. Two were Form 4 young men who God has REALLY been changing since they gave their lives to Jesus. Yeah!
After assembly I had the usual line waiting to see me for various things. One of them was another Form 4 man who sat down across from me and said, "I want to get saved and baptized." When I suggested he talk with Pastor Charles, he said he wanted to pray with me. I acquiesced. :-) After he had prayed, I sent him to sign up for baptism and to tell Pastor Charles the good news.
Only a couple minutes later another Form 4 young man walked in and said, "You've been telling me for 4 years I needed to get saved. I want to do it now and get baptized." After he prayed surrendering his life to the Lord Jesus, he looked up with wet eyes and said, "It is SO GOOD to be saved!"
Somebodies somewhere have been praying. Was it you?
This was actually an awesome gift from the Lord after 3 days of very discouraging events. "Father, thank You."
